The parliamentary elections will not be dominated by talks about policies or political messages . I expect there will be slander and heated dialogue between political opponents. One thing is certain, however, and that is that the government after the elections will be built around GERB. Such an opinion was expressed on NOVA NEWS by political scientist Prof. Milen Lyubenov.
In his words, GERB “have turned the game around” and start fresh.
Until a few years ago, GERB was in isolation, but due to some wrong steps they managed to reassert their positions and currently the biggest losers are PP-DB. They are fighting for second place, but in my opinion it will be difficult for them to exceed 300,000 votes, which would give them third or even fourth place after the elections, commented Assoc. Lyubenov and added that the next parliament will also be fragmented.
Regarding the European elections, the political scientist explained that greater turnout could be registered only after the vote for parliament.
Milen Lyubenov singled out as “significant” the absence of Maria Gabriel from GERB's Eurolist and, according to him, only from Borisov's party can most accurately explain their decision.
GERB is mobilizing around figures who are quite typical of the party and are connected to the structures, he also said about their Eurolist.
